Grants for Small Business Giving limited to AZ.

No support for religious organizations for religious purposes.

No grants to individuals (except for scholarships), travel to or support of conferences, fundraising campaigns and expenses, debt reduction, or capital grants; generally, no loans.

Purpose and Activities

The foundation provides support for both individual community and broader statewide needs in a wide range of areas including arts and culture, Grants for Small Business public education, the environment, youth development, community building, and health and human services.

Arts in the Schools, Arts in the Communities

In recent years, the foundation has offered a multi-year grant program that provides Arizona schools and community organizations with an opportunity to work collaboratively to improve arts education programs in schools with the overarching goals of increasing student achievement through Grants for Small Business.
Children, Youth and Families

The foundation supports early education, out-of-school time, family economic support, child care, youth development and community building. The variety of programs improves opportunities and conditions for children, youth, and families throughout Arizona, especially low-income families.
Community Development

This focus area is key to building healthier communities, helping Arizona become a place where all generations can thrive and prosper. At the foundation, community development focuses on planning and creating more livable communities, encouraging civic participation, helping residents improve their communities and more. The foundation also helps individuals attain greater self-sufficiency through programs, services and resources that lead to home ownership, higher education, workplace training and small business creation.
Nonprofit Capacity Building

This refers to activities that improve an organization's ability to achieve its mission. For organizations, this may relate to almost any aspect of its work: improved governance, leadership, program development, marketing, fundraising, collaboration and many others.
